Privacy policy
Effective July 22, 2026. This policy describes the current stateless MVP.
Media and transcripts
EZTranscript receives the link or file you submit so it can fetch authorized media and transcribe the audio. The MVP processes media and transcript output in memory. We do not create an account, saved transcript history, or media library. Your browser keeps the displayed result until you close or refresh the page.
Technical request data
Our infrastructure provider receives normal request information such as IP address, browser headers, request time, and error data. We use this information to deliver the service, prevent abuse, control cost, and diagnose failures. Application logs record only coarse transcription outcomes such as source type, status, error code, and a processing-time range. They do not contain submitted URLs, file names, media, or transcript text. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and page-load performance. It does not use advertising cookies or track individual visitors across sites.
Product analytics
Google Analytics helps us understand acquisition and the tool funnel. Microsoft Clarity helps us diagnose usability problems through heatmaps and masked session recordings. Clarity is configured with project cookies off and strict text masking. The transcript tool, including inputs, file names, errors, and generated results, is also explicitly masked. If configured, Plausible Analytics provides additional aggregate measurement without analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. We never send submitted media URLs, file names, transcript text, or account and payment details to these analytics providers.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website and runs the speech recognition model. Your media is sent through Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI only to complete the transcription request. We may use Plausible for aggregate analytics, Google Analytics for traffic attribution and funnel events, and Microsoft Clarity for masked interaction diagnostics. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Cookies and accounts
EZTranscript does not require an account and does not set marketing cookies. Google Analytics may set session-scoped analytics cookies. Microsoft Clarity is configured not to set project cookies. Essential infrastructure controls may still use technical identifiers to protect the service from abuse.
Your choices
Do not submit private or sensitive media. Remove personal information from a file before upload when possible. You can leave the page at any time to clear the displayed result from your browser. A browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal keeps Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity disabled.
